Eligibility Criteria for Google Jobs: If asked about your dream company from an IT aspirant, without a thought his answer would be Google. Google is the biggest online Search Engine company. It not only dominates online search with its prominent search engine but also online ads with Google Adwords.

These days Google has emerged as a Software company, giving credits to Android Mobile Operating System. Today there are more of Android OS users than those of iPhone, Windows Phone and Blackberry.

Google provides them with competitive salary packages along with other perks and rewards. For selecting the right candidate, Google conducts a placement process with various universities. This placement drive includes tests and interviews for shortlisting the talented personnel.



  1. You should maintain at least 65 percent marks throughout the academic career. It means minimum 65% marks should be obtained in 10th, 12th and B.Tech course individually.
  2. There should be no backlogs when applying for Google Jobs.

Google Placement test

All  you need to appear for Google’s eligibility test is:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a good academic record.
  • Good knowledge in Internet, web-search, online advertising, numerical analysis, fraud detection, and e-commerce.
  • Strong hold on any of the basic programming languages like C, C++ or Java.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical skills and ability to communicate clearly and efficiently .

There are various sections included in the test during placement process.

Various sections are:

  1. Questions from computer awareness
  2. Verbal Reasoning
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. Critical Reasoning

The standard of the questions depends upon the nature of the post you have applied for.

The candidates who clear the written test further proceed for the Interview.

There is a psychometric test as well. The main purpose of a psychometric test is to identify the personality, behavior, social activities, qualities, and values of the candidates. The candidate should remain honest during this test to get the accurate results.

Google Placement Interview

A person who is selected after the psychometric test will be then called up for a technical round which includes questions relevant to their expertise like what they have studied before and about the projects they have undergone during their respective degree.

After technical interview, there will be HR interview which includes some personal questions like what is the reason behind choosing Google, your personal interests, your strengths, and weakness etc .

  • You should remain honest throughout all your test and interviews.

1. Telephonic or Hangouts Interview

Technical Round

Here the concerned person will ask you an open-ended question.

You’ll have to devise a strategy to find the appropriate solution.

Next step would involve the most basic thing you love to do i.e., code.

Now you don’t have to create a fully functional code because of time limit but one that should work just fine and cover the major aspects of the given problem.

2. On Site Interview

Once you’re in the Google Premises, you will be meeting a panel of Judges (mostly 4) who are expert in their domains. Now comes the toughest part! They can ask you any question here which can vary from a simple query to a complex algorithm.

Likewise, you better be prepared!
