Do you love playing dress up games? Whether you discovered your love for fashion by playing Barbie games or by playing dress up fashion games with your girlfriends, one thing is for certain: dress up games are a recipe for a great time!
In a couple of weeks I’ll be spending time with my niece and as I was thinking for some fun activities to do, I couldn’t help but remember all the fun times I had playing Barbie games with my cousins when I was little.
We would all come up with the craziest outfits for our dolls, and we always had a blast! So, I decided to find the best dress up games for girls, so we can both put our fashion skills to the test and see who comes up with the best outfits!
As I was looking online, I found a site called AppGrooves that has a list of the top 10 dress up games. They say the following on their site:

Who knew there were so many dresses up games? Although I certainly didn’t plan on going through them all, I did check out some of the apps on their top 10 list. I selected my top 3 favorites and reviewed them!
Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen – Rating: 4.4, Downloads: 5M+
Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen is my top pick. I love the fact that you follow the story of Nikki, as she embarks on a journey across the world, discovering and developing new styles with designers and stylist she meets on the way.
I also found the dress collection to be particularly impressive, with thousands of different outfits to try in every color and style.
With everything from European style, to dream-like fairy style and futuristic sci-fi style, the dress combinations are virtually unlimited. Oh, and just in case that wasn’t enough, they add new styles every month!
One thing to keep in mind is that Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen was originally made in Chinese and has been translated into English. So, you can expect some awkward translations here and there. Honestly, I found them to be funny, and it is easy to look past that to focus on creating awesome dresses!
Pros: Story mode, thousands of outfits in any style, new content every month.
Cons: Some awkward Chinese-English translations.
Overall: Great for trying thousands of outfits on a girl as she travels the world, but you might see some awkward translations here and there.
Dress Up (Android) – Rating: 4.1, Downloads: 1M+
My second pick is Dress Up for Android. This game reminded me of the Barbie dress up games I used to play. I especially like how you get to choose from 12 different princesses from any part of the world.
You can find all kinds of dress styles, from fancy and stylish, to trendy, casual, royal and more! I also like that you can change their hairstyles and even put wings on them if you want!
The only drawback I found is that there is no option for choosing your princess’ makeup. However, the beautiful outfit options more than make up for it, so you likely won’t even notice! If you want to fully style your princess, then I recommend my first pick, Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen.
Pros: 12 different princesses, many dress styles, change hairstyles and wings too
Cons: No makeup options
Overall: Great for dressing up princesses from any part of the world, but look elsewhere if you want to do makeup
Prom Night Princess Makeover (iOS) – Rating: 4.0
Prom Night Princess Makeover for iOS is my third pick. I found the dress options to be trendy and modern, which were perfect for the prom theme.
What I really like about it is that you can do everything from taking your girl to the spa and giving her a relaxing massage, to putting her makeup on and dressing her up too.
I found the cosmetics options to be really varied, which is great if you want to practice your makeup skills. Another plus I found is that when your girl is ready for her big night, you can even watch her make a beautiful entrance to her prom!
I didn’t find as many dress options as my top pick, Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen. However, there was enough variety of dresses to keep me entertained, and the countless makeup options really add a lot of fun to the game.
Pros: Spa treatment, makeup options, prom theme, watch girl’s entrance on prom night
Cons: Not as many dress options
Overall: Great for giving your girl a full makeover although the dress options are slightly limited
